    Training 1: Know Your Rights in 2026: Rights, Remedies, Resources & Risks

    Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2026 

    Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT (2 hrs)

    This training reimagines traditional Know Your Rights presentations for the current enforcement landscape. Moving beyond basic rights education, this training equips practitioners with practical strategies to respond when rights are violated, concrete resources, and honest risk assessment. Designed for community-based organizations, advocates, and legal practitioners, the training centers community protection, preparing participants to support individuals and families facing heightened immigration enforcement with clarity, strategy, and care.

    Topics covered include:

    • Know Your Rights in the Current Enforcement Climate: What rights still exist, how they are commonly violated, and how enforcement tactics have shifted.

    • Know Your Remedies: What Can Actually Be Done: Legal, administrative, and advocacy-based responses around legal relief options.

    • Know Your Resources: Where to Access Legal Help & Resources: Identifying trusted legal and community organizations and resources.

    Training 2: Protecting & Defending Detained Community Members: How Community Organizations Can Support Detained Immigrants Through Court Observation & Habeas Solidarity

    Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2025

    Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT (2 hrs)

    Immigration detention is one of the most punitive and rapidly expanding tools of enforcement. This training focuses on how community-based organizations can meaningfully support detained community members. This training explores practical, community-driven strategies including court observation projects and coordinated efforts to connect detained individuals and their families with legal, material, and emotional support.

    Topics covered include:

    • Understanding Immigration Detention & the Role of Community Organizations: How detention operates and where community intervention can make a real impact.

    • Court Observation Projects: Building Transparency & Accountability: Launching, sustaining, and using court observation to document court trends and support advocacy.

    • Holistic Support for Detained Community Members & Their Families: Coordinating legal referrals, mutual aid, family support and release campaigns.
